The Minnesota Timberwolves are an American professional basketball team based in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division. Founded in 1989, the team plays its home games at Target Center, their home since 1990.
The Timberwolves have made the playoffs in multiple seasons throughout their history. Like the Memphis Grizzlies, the Timberwolves have made it to the Western Conference Finals once, in 2004. The team is owned by Glen Taylor and has been led by stars such as Kevin Garnett, Kevin Love, and Karl-Anthony Towns.
The team's colors are Midnight Blue, Lake Blue, Aurora Green, and Moonlight Grey. The Timberwolves have developed rivalries with other Northwest Division teams, particularly the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz.
