The Phoenix Suns are an American professional basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Suns compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Western Conference Pacific Division. The team plays its home games at the Footprint Center.
The Suns were founded in 1968 as an expansion team and have been one of the most successful teams in the NBA to have never won a championship, despite making three appearances in the NBA Finals (1976, 1993, and 2021). The Suns own the NBA's fourth-best all-time winning percentage.
The team's colors are purple, orange, and gray. The Suns have been led by stars such as Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, and currently Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. The team has developed rivalries with other Western Conference teams, particularly the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Mavericks.
